Blackie recalls being brought to the Ritter's house in a limo for a grand porterhouse steak and pregame breakfast. After the breakfast they were treated to a relaxation ride in the limo through downtown Manhattan. They were brought back by 11am to Lafayette to prepare for the 2:00 game. He recalls how the coach preferred a breakfast of dry toast and honey.
